During play

  • Wrong answer? Try again before time runs out.
  • If a name is ambiguous, select the person or team and confirm. A name match does not mean the answer is valid.
  • Pass or time out for zero. The timer keeps running if you leave the game or open a panel.
  • Pause between questions. Choose Next to start the next 25-second clock.

Daily and Practice

New Daily scores start from reviewed estimates, then adjust as valid answers arrive. Each valid answer earns 20–100 points, up to 700 total. Everyone shares the same scores. They become final after the quiz closes and the last eligible answers are processed. Practice and older editions keep fixed scores.

No speed bonus. Equal scores share a rank.

Everyone gets the same seven Daily questions. Play as a guest, then save with Google before ranking closes. One ranked attempt per account per UTC day. Practice is unranked and repeatable.

Daily resets at 00:00 UTC. New editions close yesterday’s unplayed questions for zero. A running question keeps its original deadline and counts toward its original day. Practice and older editions allow unlimited pauses between questions.
